2007 July 5
Well, we haven't really been working lately. dotCommunism and Apostles of Robespierre are both on hiatus. Adhesion is still at work. There are also some other projects underway, not directly related to music. However, don't take the hiatus to mean that we won't be making any more music. Come fall there should be another relase or two for you all to enjoy. Right now, our other projects are the priority, though.
One of these other projects is the blog God Hates Internet. We're blogging about the internet and stuff like that. We might talk about some other stuff too, but we probably won't use it for music updates (that's what the blog here is for).
Another one of those projects is a movie we're working on. For more information on that, though, you should see the blog (the one here, that is).

Wow, it's been a while since we've updated. First off, song lyrics didn't end up being added where they were missing back in February. Oops. Summer's coming, though , so it could happen soon. As for other administrative stuff, expect that also to come in the next few weeks.
As for the sampler referred to previously, it doesn't look like that's going to happen right now. A sampler could possibly happen over the summer, but that's way up in the air.
We do have a new release, though, a new Adhesion album-a-day called Idiosyncratic Dance Music. It's a bunch of dancy electronic stuff, or so says Adhesion. Word also is that listening to it will cause you to die in seven days, but that's just a rumor. That said, you can contact our legal department at legal@evilresidence.com. Anyway, you can download it at the Internet Archive. Remember, folks, listen at your own risk.
Anyway, enough smalltalk, we have some plans in the works. Of course we've got an upcoming Apostles of Robespierre release that's been on the backburner for a while. Expect a couple of releases over the summer. We've also got bigger plans brewing but that's a bit far off in the distance.

2007 February 9
Okay, just some administrative stuff right now, nothing new coming out yet. If you've been paying attention and reading the website and stuff like that, you may have noticed some layout changes, particularly to the artist and discography pages. We hope these changes help with the look and layout of the site. Remember, feel free to email webmaster@evilresidence.com if you have any suggestions, complaints or other concerns. We'll listen and probably send a response your way if it's appropriate. And no, we are not interested in any Nigerian wealth or natural genital enhancement. We're fine the way we are.
Additionally, we're working on making our FAQ a bit more comprehensive, so feel free to email in any questions you may have about us. We'll answer pretty much anything. Of course, whether the answer is anything more than "we'd rather not comment on that" is another matter entirely. So there are already some updates to the FAQ and artist pages so you should check those out too.
Furthermore, we're going to be adding some lyrics to those song pages which are currently lacking within the next few days, so there's something else to look forward too. There's no exact timetable on this, but we also might make a list of those songs with lyrics to help make looking up lyrics a little simpler. More on that as it comes.
Finally, there will be a new Evil Residence sampler coming out shortly, possibly within the next week. This sampler will be a little interesting, as at this point it looks like we'll be selling CD-Rs of it (with real printing and all that, but still CD-Rs). More info on that will follow when the sampler's completed. So, um, there's some news for you.

2007 February 5
We've got a new Adhesion release, the newest in the Uncertainty series, Uncertainty4. That means it's a deaf ear album-a-day. Additionally, it's a harpsichord concerto in six movements. You can download it at the Internet Archive. So download it, especially if you like classical music, but even more especially if you don't, because the harpsichord is awesome.

2007 February 2
Another new release! This time, we have a dotCommunism EP titled Sperm Mountain. This is an industrial noise release, featuring songs that have been in the works for a while, including one that's been around for over a year. This marks dotCommunism's push towards more coherent releases as well as an intention to create full-length releases at a more steady pace. Sperm Mountain is available for download at the Internet Archive. You really should pick it up, especially if you like industrial or noise or even just songs with lyrics about a place called sperm mountain. Seriously, there's something here for everyone!

2007 January 23
So our first album of the new year isn't by any of our standard artists but is by Mike Roushey under the name CPB. It's called I Said Thesaurus and it's made of cut up samples and has weird vocal stuff. Oh, it's an album-a-day, too. You can download it at the Internet Archive, so you should probably do that.

2006 December 25
New Christmas album-a-day! Well, it has nothing to do with Christmas. Anyway, it's called Rock Out with Your Dukakis Out. It's kind of a weird album-a-day with no real continuity and about as many genres as you can shake a stick at. Oddly enough, some of the songs are weird avant garde industrial noise and there's also some stuff that's almost real music. You can download this think at the Internet Archive.
Also fuck jesus and Christmas and all that shit ahhahahhahahhahahahhahahahhahahhahhahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahhahahah.

2006 December 8
Whoa, it's been a while since there's been an update, but this one's a big one.
We start with a new Adhesion album-a-day, this one's Pseudocold2 and it's kind of a sequel to Pseudocold1. It's a pretty electronic album and features some interesting stuff like drum'n'baroque in the song "technical rococo" as well as some awesome cut-up rap in "cut reality". Listen to it. Download it at the Internet Archive.
Next we have another Adhesion album-a-day, called Rushed Music because it was apparently rushed or something. This one features some relatively short songs, and they're from a bunch of different genres and styles so you never know what the next song is going to sound like (except for "Rushed Funk" since it has funk in the title of it). You can download this monster at the Internet Archive.
Finally we wrap up with a dotCommunism album-a-day that took about a fortnight to complete because he's lazy. This one's Gospeltronic and it's one of those damn concept album-a-days. The theme to this one is Christianity which is used, abused and otherwise mistreated in this non-serious attempt at a Christian album. Listen at the peril of your eternal soul. This bit of blasphemy can also be downloaded from the Internet Archive.
That's it for now, but be expecting another few releases before the New Year. We might even see an insane last minute push to hit 50 releases.

2006 October 29
So we've got an October release, released a few days ago. This one is called You Should and it's a bunch of weird world music stuff made by Adhesion because he's dumb and instead of buying drugs like a normal person, he bought some musical instruments. You can download it at the Internet Archive. I'd watch out, though, because it's world music and might just make you gay.

2006 September 28
Finally a September release. This one's a dotCommunism album-a-day. Well, it was supposed to be, although it wasn't quite finished within a timeframe of 24 consecutive hours, although it was finished within a timeframe of 24 total hours. This one's called Sic Semper. Musically, there's not much tying the album together. However, there is a loose thematic element regarding assassinations, with references to the murders of American heroes like Abraham Lincoln, Jack Kennedy, Martin Luther King and "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. Anyway, you can download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 August 28
New Adhesion release. This one's called PROLIFIC. It's kind of a special release, being a combination of three Album-A-Days. It's similar to Opus Magnus except more strictly adhering to the Album-A-Day guidelines for each part. You can download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 August 14
Another new album-a-day. This one's a collaboration project between Adhesion and electronic musician Scrap Heap. The album's called The Life You Left Behind. It's all electronic and stuff and public domain and there's some rapping or stuff. Download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 August 11
This month dotCommunism decided not to wait until the last minute to do his Album-A-Day. This one's called Kicking Ass Without a License. It's about, um, kicking ass...without a license. The kind of gimmick behind this one was that it was supposed to have a very electronic sound which, um, a couple of tracks kind of do. So if that doesn't sell you, I don't know what could. Download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 August 1
And now the dotCommunism Album-A-Day for July, started in July and finished and released in August. It's called With Gusto. It's a deaf ear album-a-day, which means it wasn't listened to until it was finished. Download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 July 26
We've got a new Album-A-Day by Apostles of Robespierre now. It's a pretentious noise album. Well, not really. It's actually noise but the pretensions are pretty much a joke. That doesn't change the fact that we're smarter than you, though. Anyway, it's called struggle between two contending ideas. You can download it at the Internet Archive.
Additionally, we've got a netlabel collection on the Internet Archive now. It's located at archive.org/details/evilresidence. We're probably going to change the format of the download page now to make it more legible and streamlined.

2006 July 14
New Album-A-Day by Adhesion. This is a continuation of his Uncertainty series and is called Uncertainty3. It's a bunch of deaf ear stuff, as are the other Uncertaintys, meaning that they were created without being listened to at all. Download it at the Internet Archive.
To complement the recent relicensing of almost every Evil Residence release, there have been a few minor layout changes. First is the discography page. It's been broken into 4 pages with each page showing a group of 10 albums. The songs pages have also been broken up into smaller parts. This is intended to reduce page size and increase load time. We feel that its also pretty easily navigable. If you have any problems don't be afraid to send an email to webmaster@evilresidence.com.

2006 July 4
To celebrate the American Independence Day and freedom and all that fun stuff, we've decided to place a couple of our older albums into the public domain. The Apostles of Robespierre album You'll Never Take Me Alive and the dotCommunism album Cybersex have both had their copyrights abandoned.
Additionally, we will be relicensing most of the rest of our catalogue to more permissive Creative Commons licenses, removing the share alike stipulation.

2006 June 17
New album-a-day by Adhesion. This one's called New Folder. It's got stuff about Flag Day and Crab Nebula and Flag Nebula and Crab Day and other important moral messages. Get your fix of Adhesion's preaching and soapboxing about important political matters. Download it at the Internet Archive, heathen.

2006 June 6
Today is June 6, 2006 or 6/6/06. As such, we are proud to present the new dotCommunism album-a-day, Music for Dying. It's a concept album about a deranged man detailing the day that he believes is the end of the world. Bonus occult and apocalyptic references and hidden images. See if you can find all of the references and feel free to make up some of your own that weren't really intended! You can download this industrial noise tour de force at the Internet Archive.

2006 June 5
We've decided to rename our group AOR. AOR is now named Apostles of Robespierre. This is due to the fact that we wanted to come up with a real and distinct name for our group, that's not taken by an entire genre of music. So rename all of your mp3s and such.

2006 May 31
Adhesion got his May album-a-day done just in time. This one's called Delphi Arrival and although it's an album-a-day, it took over a day to finish. So that means that Adhesion is a failure. All penile inadequacies aside, download the album at the Internet Archive, and check it out.

2006 May 22
Finally a May release. This time we have In da Streetz by dotCommunism. I'm honestly not sure how to describe any of the songs on the album. Despite that fact, though, they are truly pretty awesome. Kind of a bizarre hip hop derivation, or something. Download it at the Internet Archive, yo.

2006 April 30
One more release to finish off April. This one is called Shapes, and it's by Adhesion. All the songs correspond to the shapes on the album cover, or something. Download it at the Internet Archive.

2006 April 15
Some cosmetic changes, i guess. First off, the rants and comics sections have been removed. The rants are now integrated into the blog, which is where any future rants will show up. The comics are gone.
Also, the forums have been undergoing some modification. Check them out, jackasses. Seriously, check out the forums.
We've been a little caught up in non-Evil Residence projects lately. However, with college being done for the summer soon, expect some more productivity and the release of some new albums. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

2006 April 4
Another release from dotCommunism. This time it's an Album-a-day. It's called Music for Sleeping. It's all ambient stuff. Also, the song titles are the themes to the songs. Download it at the Internet Archive. Listen to it, podcast it, make bootleg cds and give them to your friends and make them listen by tying them to a chair like in A Clockwork Orange, without the drugs to make them nauseous of course.

2006 April 1
New release by dotCommunism to start off April. No this isn't an April fools joke. It's called Wizard Hat and it's a companion EP to Cybersex. There are early versions, as well as edits, of some songs from Cybersex. The edit of "zh 00325" is a little subtle, but there is a difference from the original. The others should be a little more obvious. Also, in addition to the early versions and reworkings there's a previously unreleased song called "Anchises". That said, get it at the Internet Archive as always.

2006 March 22
A few days late here. New Adhesion release, an album-a-day. Invincible Fighting Spirit, a kind of video game music concept album thingy. Download it on the Internet Archive, assholes.

2006 March 15
Another new release for March. This time, it's an album-a-day by dotCommunism. It's called The Ides of Pi in commemoration of both Pi Day and the Ides of March, both days the album was worked on during. It starts off rather conventionally and gets weird fast. Download it at the Internet Archive, as always.

2006 March 4
Finally, the first release by KIBO. This is called Knowledge In Bullshit Out. It's an album-a-day. It's also the first release to espouse the concept of mapism. Download it on the Internet Archive.

See past news updates.
